A Border Terrier is a small, rough-coated breed of dog of the terrier group. Originally bred as fox and vermin hunters, Border Terriers share ancestry with Dandie Dinmont Terriers and Bedlington Terriers.
Though the breed is much older, the Border Terrier was officially recognized by the The Kennel Club in Great Britain in 1920, and by the American Kennel Club (AKC) in 1930.

In 2006, the Border Terrier ranked 81st in number of registrations by the AKC, while it ranked 10th in the United Kingdom.
Border Terriers are affectionate, intelligent, even-tempered, and obedient dogs. They tend to be alert and fearless.

Border Terriers generally get along well with other dogs; however, if they dislike another dog, they do not hesitate to start a fight and, as with most terriers, it can be difficult to stop them. Some borders can have a a submissive attitude towards other dogs, and therefore the use of aggression towards other dogs is very low.

Narrow-bodied and well-proportioned, males stand 13 to 16 in (33 to 41 cm) at the shoulder, and weigh 13 to 15.5 lb (5.9 to 7.0 kg); females 11 to 14 in (28 to 36 cm) and 11.5 to 14 pounds (5.2 to 6.4 kg)

The Boxer breed of dog was originally developed in Germany. It is a stocky, medium-sized short-haired dog. The boxer was bred from the bulldog and the now extinct Bullenheiser and is part of the molosser group. The name boxer may be derivced from the tendency this breed has of playing by standing on its hind legs and playing with its front paws as if boxing.

Boxers are energetic, bright and playful. They tend to be good with children. Exercise wise they are a very active dog and need significant amounts of exercise to stop them getting bored and causing bad behaviour such as digging or chewing. By nature boxers are not aggressive of vicious but they do need to be socialized, they are generally happy with smaller dogs or puppies but with other adult dogs problems can occur.

Grooming : Although the Westie may be the ideal choice for someone who wants a healthy and active dog, it is perhaps not so ideal for the show aspirant who does not want to spend much time on grooming. The Westie's coat must be brushed and combed every day, and have surplus hair stripped twice a year, The neckline is particularly important, and staggly hairs should be removed from ears and tail. If you feel you cannot handle the stripping task yourself, then take your Westie to a professional dog groomer.

Feeding : Recommended would be 1 1/2 cans (13.3 oz 376 g size) name-brand dog food, with a biscuit, or 3 cups dry dog food. Always provide an ample supply of fresh water for your Westie.

Golden Retriever - Dogs - Most popular breeds (US) Pictures and Wallpapers

About Dogs - Golden Retriever - Dogs - Most popular breeds (US):
The Golden Retriever is a breed of dog, historically developed as a gundog to retrieve shot waterfowl and upland game and lame hens during hunting. As such they were bred to have a soft mouth to retrieve game undamaged and an instinctive love of water. Their intelligence and versatility sees them employed in a variety of roles including illegal drug detection, search and rescue, as hunting dogs and as guide dogs. Their friendly, eager-to-please and patient demeanors have also made them popular family dogs.
The Golden Retriever came from Britain, originating from a mixture of the flat-coated retriever and the tweed water spaniels. Golden Retrievers are fairly active dogs, they require a moderate level of exercise per day, this breed is likely to get obese if fed to much or not having enough exercise. They need to be groomed at least once a week, and even daily when they are shedding (this season is normally in the spring as the dog loses its thick winter coat). Ear cleaning is also advisable to stave off ear infection.

About Dogs - Most popular breeds (US) -Golden Retriever - Cute Puppies Pictures and Photos
The American type is similar to the Canadian type. It is tall, with a moderately narrow muzzle, and a chest that is not generally deep. Its stomach does not curve heavily, and its withers are almost level with it's shoulders.

The American type is sometimes bred with the English type to give it a white or cream coat. However, American types most commonly have dense, dark coats, such as black.

The Golden Retriever's eagerness to please has made them consistent, top performers in the obedience and agility rings. Plus with their excellent swimming ability they are great at dock jumping. Their natural retrieving ability also sees them excel in flyball and field trials.

The first three dogs ever to achieve the AKC Obedience Champion title were Golden Retrievers; the first of the three was a female named Ch. Moreland's Golden Tonka.

Appearance :

The Cavalier (along with the Pug) is perhaps the largest toy breed: though historically a lap dog, modern day fully-grown adults tend to fill a lap rather amply. It is nonetheless quite small for a spaniel, with fully-grown Cavaliers roughly comparable in size to adolescents of more conventional spaniel breeds. Breed standards call for a height between 30 and 33 cm (12–13 inches) with a proportionate weight between 4.5 and 8.5 kg (10 and 18 lb), although even purebreds commonly grow to 35-40 cm tall with a proportionate weight between 20-25 pounds. Unlike most other spaniels, the Cavalier has a full-length tail, well-feathered with long hair, which is usually not docked, which is typically carried aloft when walking. The Cavalier's head is nearly flat between the ears and has a well defined nose, its eyes are large and round and this gives the dog its characteristic endearing look. Its neck is strong and is slightly arched and its ears are long and drooping and have plenty of feathering. The body of the Cavalier is small but well balanced, this dog moves with a somewhat elegant and royal gait.
